Here are some things that work to create deeper, yet practical change:
- Living from our deeper (or higher) self, values and aspirations;
- Listening to our heart and truths, and finding our voice
- Watching which mindset drives our behaviours (e.g. love or fear, fullness or lack);
- Thinking and feeling into others' needs, interests & concerns
- Asking and listening to what people really think, feel and believe
- Supporting others to engage in and succeed at what matters most to them
- Building a bridge between their interests & ours;
- Loving, accepting & forgiving ourselves (and others), and listening to our inner wisdom; and
- Engaging in the many practices which help us connect with our whole mind/true self:
- mindfulness, meditation, prayer, compassion, non-violent communication, presence
- nature, music, breath, activities we love, love-making
- visualization/imagery, healing our wounds/blocks, self love, forgiveness... (& more)
All of these help us to connect with the 'whole or loving' consciousness in ourselves & others, and yield better results.
How Do We Grow it?
The next step is applying these principles and practices in our daily living:
- Using them in our relationships to create greater harmony
- Finding ways to incorporate them in our work, through:
- our choice of job/work
- the products/service we provide and their design
- how we market, sell and communicate
- how we treat customers/clients, staff and suppliers
- looking for opportunities to cooperate, collaborate & partner
- testing our ideas: Does what I'm offering really work? Is it easy to do? Do people really like/want it?
- seeing the effects/impacts we are having on others, our communities, environment and world. - Integrating our core values, instead of than deciding between them:
jobs + environment; your interests + mine; business + social good; making a living + having a life... - Building 'bridges of communications' -- by speaking into the language & thinking of others
- Looking at our results, to see if they're creating the world we want to live in; and
- Learning the power of our thoughts/consciousness to shape our world.
Conscious change is about using all of these to create practical improvements and greater well being in our lives.
And grow healing change... that benefits us all.
