Change from the Inside Out
Positive change starts with an idea or desire for something better. It comes from something we want. It brings us hope, inspires possibilities and motivates us to take action. (It's like feeling that kid inside of us.)
But then the challenges begin. We encounter roadblocks – like people (or self talk) telling us we aren't good enough or "there's nothing I can do." Issues such as lack of opportunity, time, money, or support. Resistance from others, or conflicts within ourselves.
We may spend hours (or years) of blood, sweat and tears, trying to get people/problems to change, but with relatively few results. As result, we become frustration, jaded, or start to question whether change is even possible.
So how can we do it differently?
Conscious change is about understanding what enables us and others to change -- by focusing on the thinking that shapes our behaviour.
For example, making change becomes easier when we:
Most of us don't want to be sold, told or pressured to change. That's why conscious change engages people a different way -- by helping them listen to their own truths & wisdom, and choose what is right for them. And it's also doing this for ourselves.
For lasting, sustainable progress, change needs to be internally motivated. There needs to be a willingness and a desire for it. It's what I call "change from the inside out."
How can we use it?
What blocks change?
How do I get help doing this?

Conscious change is about understanding what enables us and others to change -- by focusing on the thinking that shapes our behaviour.
For example, making change becomes easier when we:
- feel we are respected, listened to, and cared about
- understand the thoughts, feelings and beliefs behind other people’s behaviour
- work with their motivations and interests, while respecting our own
- listen to our inner wisdom
- communicate in new ways that make sense to them, and
- discover what works (or doesn't) in our own life.
